Zach Beller was accompanied by his father on their boat, near the coast of New Jersey in the United States, when small fish began to fly in the air, before the huge humpback whale appeared, to “fly” as well.
The whale jumped into the air, before crashing into the boat, amid the astonishment of the father and son at this solemn scene.
Biller posted the video on his Instagram page, commenting: “Epic Whale Shots! Hit the side of our boat.”
The humpback whale was given this name, due to the large hump that forms on its body when it bends its back to dive into the ocean.
The humpback whale can reach a length of 18 meters and a weight of 40 tons. The length of the fins is 5 meters, and the width of its tail is 5.5 meters.
The body of this whale includes about 30 wide grooves in the throat and chest area, and is famous for its acrobatic movements, such as those documented in the Biller video.
