The Padre Cacique asylum, in Porto Alegre, Brazil, has been isolated after the floods of recent days in Río Grande do Sul. The facility houses a hundred older adults in situations of social vulnerability.
The workers have reported that there is no access to the building. On social media, they announced that on Tuesday they had suffered power outages that put their residents at risk. As of this Wednesday, 90 deaths linked to the storms and 131 missing people had been recorded.
