One A person has died in a fire in a garden cottage in Rastila, Helsinki, says the Helsinki Rescue Department.
The garden cottage was in full swing at the time the rescue units arrived on the scene. According to the rescue service, the fire had been extinguished and the post-clearance was in progress after five o’clock in the afternoon.
Fire took place on Karavaanikatu in a small wooden cottage in the Rastila Camping area, says the firefighter on duty Timo Ustinov.
The dead have been found inside the cottage during firefighting work. According to Ustinov, the police are conducting a technical investigation at the fire site.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
