A large fire with flames five to six meters high broke out this Saturday night in the Rocío Jurado Auditorium in Seville. The fire spread quickly through the ground floor of the cultural space and quickly advanced to the first floor, despite initial attempts by several fire brigade units to put it out from the outside, with two motorcycle water pumps and a ladder truck. After that first intervention, several collapses occurred inside and all the windows burst.
After almost an hour of work, the firefighters have managed to control the fire on the ground floor and prevented it from affecting the stage and the machinery of the cultural space located on Avenida de los Descubrimientos, on the island of La Cartuja. And they have also achieved it on the upper floor.
Security guards in the area believe that the fire was intentional, like the one last Sunday, which did not have major consequences, unlike this one. Firefighters also intervened in that.
