Final Fantasy VII Remake free for PS Plus will soon be next-gen too

Big news for all Sony users who own the mammoth Final Fantasy VII Remake: I am arriving in the next few days the updates containing the upgrade for the next-gen version of the game.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is recently also released on PC (as we have already been announced on this occasion), proving ready to totally enter the next-gen. But in addition to the Personal Computer, the next-gen console version of the Square Enix masterpiece was also missing, which seems to be ready to come out.

Indeed, Wednesday Square Enix will release a free update for all who have redeemed the game via PS Plus, in fact updating the copies of Final Fantasy VII Remake thus obtained to the respective PlayStation 5 versions: the choice of wanting to update the game for free to the next-gen version certainly goes against the trend with what was done by other houses that instead have been adamant from the payment to update the game to the new version.

Obviously, the reasons behind the choice to charge for the upgrade are more than fair: there is a job on the part of the developers who have to pick up the title and work on it to bring it up to speed on a different hardware from the one on which it was developed the game. Still, it could be that Square Enix has decided to make this move as form of advertising for what is to come.

In fact, the same day as the update will be DLC with Yuffie Kisaragi available, Episode Intermission, at a discounted price: The expansion can be purchased with a 25% discount on the product price, for a limited period.

Final Fantasy VII Remake appears to be ready to charge again in anticipation of the arrival of Part 2 of the game: in fact, according to what was declared and shown in the previous days, there would be news on the way, as we could see for the video focused on Red XIII we talked about in this article.
