Fiat reaffirmed its leading position on various global markets in 2022. In particular, in Europe and South America, the Turin-based brand has shown that it has no rivals in the city car segment: if we look only at the Old Continent, the new electric 500 has registered more than 66,000 vehicles out of 120,000 units globally since its launch in 2022. Figures that make it not only the first best-selling electric BEV in the Italian market, the second in Spain and the third in Germany, but also the third most marketed BEV in the ten main European markets and the most registered of the Stellantis Group.
Moving to South AmericaFiat conquered a 13.6% market share throughout 2022 and confirmed its position as absolute leader in Brazil, the most important market for the brand where it recorded more than 430,000 registrations equal to a share of 21.9%. The primacy was conquered by the Turin brand in almost all the segments in which it operates: 24.7% share among small cars, almost 50% among pick-ups and 37.1% in the van category. As for individual models, for the second consecutive year Fiat Strada is the best-selling vehicle just as Fiat Toro is the most purchased C pick-up in the country; convincing responses also came from the Cronos sedan, which sold 49% more than in 2021, and from the Pulse compact SUV, which exceeded 50,000 units sold in the year. Final comment on Turkey, where Fiat was the best-selling brand for the fourth consecutive year with an 18.7% market share.
