Dennis te Kloese will fly from Los Angeles to the Netherlands this week to complete his arrival at Feyenoord. The 47-year-old general manager of LA Galaxy is the dreamed successor of the departed Mark Koevermans in de Kuip.
Te Kloese would like to go to Feyenoord, but the shareholders still have to officially approve his arrival. The intention is that Te Kloese will start as boss of the Rotterdam club in January. He knows that a tough job awaits him in De Kuip as the successor to Koevermans, who resigns mainly as a result of threats from the rank and file.
Te Kloese built up a great career in Mexico and the United States. He is virtually unknown in the Netherlands. The native Bussumer himself had a modest football career. He was briefly in the youth at Ajax and played as an amateur for SV Huizen and HSV De Zuidvogels. Te Kloese, initially under the care of former PSV, Ajax and FC Groningen coach Hans Westerhof, made a name for himself across the Atlantic. Te Kloese held important positions with the Mexican Football Federation and has now been the general manager of the American club LA Galaxy for almost three years.
