The Ferrrari BR20 is a unique model created by the Special Projects department of the Italian sports car maker. The BR20 builds on the foundations of the Ferrari GTC4 Lusso, a model that has since disappeared from the portfolio.
The GTC4 Lusso, which can be described as Shooting Brake, lost its back seat, because the Ferrari BR20 is a pure two-seater and therefore a classic coupé. One with a V12 engine under the hood. The unique exterior design of this one-off is brimming with design references to the great models from Maranello’s rich past, including the 410 SA and the 500 Superfast.
Longer
The Flavio Manzoni-led design team behind this Special Projects creation has made the Ferrari BR20 7.5 centimeters longer than the GTC4 Lusso on which it is based. You can still recognize the front, but the rear has been given a unique design. The rear section is characterized by two arches that form aerodynamic channels that direct the wind towards the active rear spoiler.
The elegant lines are adorned with carbon fiber inserts that can be found on both the flanks and the rear. Note also the rounded tailpipes in the aggressively drawn rear diffuser.
Price tag?
The wealthy customer who ordered the Ferrari BR20 from the Special Projects department will receive an interior that plays with classic elements such as brown leather – Heritage Testa di Moro with silver cross stitch – and oak design details, although carbon fiber should also be included. The absence of a rear seat provides extra luggage space, although Maranello forgets to say what the maximum load volume of Ferrari BR20 is.
The price tag remains a guess, just like the specs of the V12. In the Ferrari GTC4Lusso, also available as a rear-wheel drive V8 biturbo, the naturally aspirated V12 delivered a peak power of 610 hp and drove all four wheels.
