It stretches the list of roaring Ferraris destroyed due to careless driving on the streets of every day. A 488 Pista was photographed in Poland, near Wyrzysk, after a rather disastrous accident, where fortunately no victims or injuries were recorded. The car got under a guard rail, destroying itself. Ferrari is now a wreck which presumably can only be recovered for the supply of spare parts, since not much has been saved.
The Ferrari 488 Pista involved in the accident, dating back to 11 February, would have spun, on a straight stretch. It is assumed, since the collision with the guard rail it happened around 9 in the morning, that the roads were not particularly suitable for sporty driving and generally not ideal; the slimy asphalt and temperatures close to freezing may have betrayed the Ferrari driver in a phase of acceleration.
The images, published on Facebook by the local firefighters, are accompanied by an exemplary caption, which invokes prudence when driving in any condition and on any means: “Use common sense“. We would like to add that having a Ferrari in your hands, the necessary common sense must be even greater, given the power available. And in this case it was not only the driver of the car who remained unharmed, thanks also to the goodness of the safety systems on the Maranello car, but also those around him in the middle of traffic. No other cars were involved, according to local authorities.
Returning to material damage, the 488 Pista was particularly devastated by the impact in the front and right side. The windshield had the same fate, the roof was hopelessly bent. Perhaps the only part of the car that can be saved without too many interventions is the rear one. The airbags deployed correctly and the driver exited the car on his own legs.
