More than a year has passed since the last race, but Romano Fenati is ready to return to action and will do so this weekend at Mugello. The rider from Ascoli Piceno will in fact be on track for the Italian Speed Championship, thus making his debut in the Italian Superbike class. Fenati will race with the Bike and Motor Racing Team colors and will drive the BMW M1000 RR of the Teramo team.
Fenati has already carried out a test in Misano in the previous months and now the time has come to test itself with the races it will take part in at the Mugello International Circuit on the weekend of 21st to 23rd June. “Talent, professionalism and above all the desire to get back into question after the end of the 2023 season in Moto3. Rider number #5 will make his debut in the Italian SBK aiming first of all to cover as many kilometers as possible, trying to progress session after session without setting any goals other than returning to the race and having fun in the premier class of the Dunlop CIV.” we read in the note released by the team.

We are happy because we have known Romano since he was 13 and there has always been a lot of respect and friendship on both sides. In all these years that have passed, despite following different paths, we have never stopped following each other. We believe that the SBK CIV class can gain a truly great talent who will certainly change some balance and will want to do well albeit without pretensions and reasoning session after session. Obviously we would like to thank Romano and we can’t wait to officially get on track with him in the first free practice on Thursday”, concludes the press release.
Romano Fenati’s last competitive season dates back to 2023, when he returned to racing in the Moto3 World Championship with the Snipers team after a brief period in Moto2 in 2022 with Boscoscuro. The Superbike race will be a debut for the rider from Ascoli Piceno, who will put himself to the test for the first time with the production derivatives.
