He actually started working on it after seeing it in a photo from a Vanity Fair article, published about a year ago. Many debated at the time what kind of damage it caused. He made it into a blaster, even though it is a tranquilizer gun. However, it can also be used as such, for those who want to use exactly the weapon from the TV series.
So, installing the mod the first version of the gun will be a dart shooter, but it can be transformed into a blaster by modifying it on a workbench.
