The Colombian will race in F2 for the first time since 2019, when she drove for BWT Arden.
Bolukbasi’s contract has been terminated by mutual agreement and Calderon will participate in the four remaining races of the 2022 season for the team.
Calderon had participated in IndyCar in 2022 with AJ Foyt Racing, but its road and city program was cut short after seven races due to financial problems related to the sponsor ROKiT.
“I’m really excited about my return to Formula 2, I still can’t believe I’m back. It’s been a long time since I last drove the car, but it’s an amazing opportunity that I want to make the most of,” she said. Calderon.

Calderon finished 22nd in F2 2019, before racing in Super Formula in 2020-21 for Drago Corse, as well as in the European Le Mans Series and FIA WEC for Richard Mille Racing.
The 29-year-old moved to the United States for 2022 and sits 29th in the IndyCar rankings with a 15th place in Indianapolis as the best result.
Previously, Calderon was a test driver for the Alfa Romeo F1 team and is still the only woman to have competed in F2.
Bolukbasi has failed to score a point this season after making the leap from Euroformula Open, in which he finished fifth in 2021 with Van Amersfoort Racing.
