The two-week break between Monza and Singapore was providential for Alexander Albon. The sudden attack of appendicitis that blocked the Williams driver on the eve of the Italian Grand Prix seems to be behind us, and confirmation comes from Albon’s departure for Singapore.
As a precautionary measure, Williams has also summoned Nyck De Vries, who also went to the Asian capital ready to be operational, if necessary, over the Marina Bay weekend.

The last reservations regarding the state of form of Albon will be dissolved on the eve of the weekend, and probably the last okay will arrive on Friday with the final check on the track in free practice.
After the complications related to anesthesia, which arose during the surgery to which the Williams driver was subjected at the San Gerardo hospital in Monza, a period in intensive care was necessary which was obviously not in the plans.
The Tuesday following the Monza race, Albon was discharged and began the recovery program together with trainer Patrick Harding with the aim of being ready for Singapore, which is the most physically demanding race of the entire Formula 1 season.
