Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 unveiled the date of the presentation of its new car this morning and it did so with a simple photo posted on the main social networks.
The F1 W13 E Performance will be unveiled on February 18, 2022. Good news, considering that this year the Brackley team – at least for now – will not overlap with other teams as has been the case in previous years.
In fact, Ferrari will present their car the day before, on February 17th, while Aston Martin and McLaren will unveil their cars on the 10th and 11th of the same month.
The car, which we will see exactly in a month, will have the task of bringing home the ninth consecutive Formula 1 Constructors title, but also allowing its drivers to return to win the title dedicated to them after having lost it in a daring way at the last lap of the last grand prix of last season.
The drivers duo will present the greatest novelty, because alongside the confirmed Lewis Hamilton – who will certainly be eager to make up for himself after the incredible epilogue of 2021 – there will be George Russell, a talent who blossomed definitively during the last season with Williams and now eager to compete with the best drivers of the World Championship at the wheel of a single-seater that, at least on paper, should be among the favorites to win the 2022 titles.
It is interesting to note that the initials and the date of the presentation are colored in silver, in addition to the use of the Petronas green color. Could the W13 sign the definitive return to a silver livery after 2 years of black?
