Emilia Romagna, between today and tomorrow, will be at the center of attention as far as Formula 1 is concerned because 2 teams are running and will do so again tomorrow on two tracks located in the region separating the north from central Italy.
For a Ferrari engaged in Fiorano, on its home track, McLaren chose the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari to carry out two days of testing and keep its drivers in training.
Today, Oscar Piastri took to the track with the MCL36, the ground effect single-seater that will race in 2022. The Australian driver started this morning and finished lapping around 4pm local time.
On the MCL36 only the official 2024 livery, but no sponsor. As you can see from the photos that we are publishing and that we had the opportunity to take outside the track, it is possible to notice that the McLaren did not even have the driver's numbers on the nose and bonnet.

Piastri was able to run with the usual demo tires made and supplied by Pirelli – the sole supplier of tires to Formula 1 – to follow the dictates of the sporting regulations.
Over the last few hours, Piastri has revealed the special helmet he will use next week in his home event, the Australian Grand Prix. Today, however, he used the traditional one that we also saw in the first two rounds of the 2024 season.
Piastri will leave the wheel of the MCL36 to Lando Norris tomorrow, to complete the two days of testing and training that had already been scheduled several weeks ago, taking advantage of the week's break between the first back-to-back of Sakhir and Jeddah and Melbourne.
Ferrari, as mentioned, is running today at Fiorano with an F1-75, a ground effect single-seater that raced in the 2022 Formula 1 World Championship, and Oliver Bearman at the wheel.
Also in this case it is a training day for the Scuderia's reserve driver, who made his debut last weekend taking the place of the ill Carlos Sainz. Tomorrow the Ferrari tests should continue with Antonio Giovinazzi at the wheel.
