Formula 1 continues to know no rest. After the Azerbaijan Grand Prix comes the Singapore Grand Prix, which will be held on the Marina Bay track.
The Singapore race will not be one of the many scheduled this season. Or at least not a random one. It will be the first with McLaren leading the Constructors’ Championship and a declining Red Bull that even risks being overtaken twice, with Ferrari becoming even more threatening thanks to Charles Leclerc’s second place in Baku.
McLaren leads with 476 points against Red Bull’s 456. 20 points in favor of the Woking team and the inertia that is all on the side of Andrea Stella’s men. Ferrari is third with 425, therefore 31 points behind a second place that seems increasingly possible.

But we must not forget the one dedicated to the drivers, because thanks to the comeback in Baku, Lando Norris has moved to 59 points from Max Verstappen. Still a lot, too many, but the form of McLaren (and that of Red Bull) really risks reopening a World Championship that seemed already closed in the spring. Provided that Norris stops making the series of errors that are limiting him in this period.
Ferrari, on the other hand, after having secured third place in the Constructors’ Championship, will be able to go in search of the fourth victory of the season. Last year Singapore represented the only joy in a terrible season, while this year could be another piece of a much more comforting and auspicious mosaic in view of 2025.
The situation in the middle of the standings should also be monitored, as AlphaTauri sees Haas slowly approaching. Thanks to the point obtained by Oliver Bearman in Baku, the American team is now only 5 points behind the Faenza team, in full battle for sixth place behind the 5 powers of the 2024 World Championship. Williams, with the 10 points scored in Azerbaijan, has climbed to eighth place, overtaking Alpine: 16 points to 13.
