The official start of the pre-season tests in Barcelona has done nothing but further arouse the collective desire for Formula 1 in the hearts of the fans. The championship, which will start in Bahrain on the weekend between 18 and 20 March 2022, will once again be broadcast live and exclusively by Sky Sportson channel 207. The latter, including live coverage, columns and insights, was therefore confirmed as the television house of the Circus as regards the Italian public, who will be able to follow the entire course of the upcoming world championship from here.
However, as has happened in recent seasons, viewers will have the opportunity to watch in clear five of the 23 scheduled tests, which will all be broadcast on the channel TV8. Two of these live shows will cover the appointments scheduled in Italy, with the stages of Imola and Monza: while the Emilia-Romagna GP will coincide with the first free-to-air live broadcast of the year, with the event scheduled for April 24, the Italian GP is instead set for September 11, the day in which the 16th stage of the season. In the midst of these two events, TV8 will also include the Spanish GP – on 22 May – and, subsequently, another European round such as the French GP, scheduled for 24 July. The only extra-continental race, as well as the last to be broadcast in the clear, will coincide with the United States GP, scheduled for 23 October. The big news from the last few seasons, however, will be the absence of live coverage of the last Grand Prix of the year: contrary to what happened in the past, in fact, the final event of the season will not in fact be available in the clear, with the latter – again scheduled in Abu Dhabi – which will remain a Sky exclusive. Below is the summary of the GPs that will be available in the clear for the Formula 1 2022 championship:
