Joensuu’s Ilosaarirock, Mikkeli’s St Michel-ravit, Kiuruvesi’s iskelmäviikot and Suonenjoki’s Strawberry Carnival have been organized in the Eastern Finland police area.

According to the police, there have been regular disturbances, but larger excesses have been avoided.

From Ilosaari rock the police arrested five people on Saturday evening. The police recorded six drug offenses at the festival. The substances have been cannabis, cocaine and amphetamine.

On the night between Friday and Saturday, there were about a hundred less tasks in the area of ​​the police department than, for example, on Midsummer. By midnight on Saturday, there had been slightly more tasks outside of the events than on Friday night.

“It’s great to see that people know how to listen to music calmly and enjoy what’s on offer in moderation regardless of everything”, General Director of the Eastern Finland Situation Center Komsario Tom the Bear says in the police announcement.

Ilosaari rock, St Michel trots and Kiuruvesi’s Iskelmäviikot will continue until Sunday.
