The BNNVARA program Just Until Here won the Gouden Televizier-Ring for best television program on Thursday. During the gala at the Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam, the satirical program received more votes than The Hunting Season (SBS6) and The Beavers (RTL5). It is the third year in a row that BNNVARA has won the Golden Televizier Ring, after Over my dead body in 2020 and The children of Ruinerwold in 2021.
Earlier there was criticism of the nomination of The Hunting Season and The Beavers because they would only compete for the Ring because their online supporters would have taken action en masse. According to Paul Römer, television director of Talpa, the price was “devalued” in this way. “For years, it has no longer been the prize of the viewer, but the prize of the one who best mobilizes his supporters,” he said in the run-up to the award ceremony. on Radio 1.
