European elections, vice president Schinas: “No one can mobilize young people better than young people!”

Yesterday the vice president of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinashad already launched a first appeal to the superstar American, Taylor Swift. “No one can mobilize young people better than young people, that's how it works,” Schinas said.
“Just as an example: last September, Taylor Swift launched a call on social media for young Americans to register to vote. The day after her post, 35,000 young Americans had registered to vote,” he continued the vice president, referring to the short message Swift shared last year on her Instagram account, which has more than 270 million followers.
“Taylor Swift will be in Europe in May, for a concert in Paris on May 9th, Europe Day. So I really hope she does the same for the young Europeans and I sincerely hope that someone from your media team follows this press conference and passes this request on to you,” Schinas insisted.
