Of these recommendations, MEP Isabel Santos, head of the mission, emphasized the separation of powers, she believes it is necessary to repeal the power of the Comptroller of the Republic to avoid the disqualification of politicians and calls for reinforcing the sanctioning powers of the CNE.
This document was presented remotely because the electoral entity did not respond to the mission’s request to travel back to Venezuela. However, Santos assured that the initial parameters were met because the delegation was in the country from October 14 to December 5, as planned.

The mission applauded that this electoral entity has been one of the most balanced in recent years, that almost all opposition factors have participated and that it has international observation.
As in the previous report, in this lack of legal certainty was questioned of the process, disqualifications, use of state resources and unequal access.
So far, the mission has presented its comments to the representative of international relations of the electoral council, it has not been presented to the rectors.
