Energy | Estlink 2, the electrical connection between Finland and Estonia that broke down in the winter, is back in use

The electricity transmission connection has been out of use since the end of January due to a breakdown.

Network company Fingrid estimates in its announcementthat the electricity connection Estlink 2 between Finland and Estonia will return to commercial use tomorrow, Wednesday. The repair work with the electricity transmission connection has been completed.

The electricity transmission connection has been out of use since the end of January due to a breakdown. The exact location of the fault was found at the beginning of March, and since then, according to Fingrid, the repair work has continued without interruption until the beginning of autumn.

The breakdown is not considered to have been caused by, for example, sabotage.
