The Ministry of Education said that the results of the Emirates Standard Test “EMSAT” will reach the twelfth grade students, via a text message informing them of the availability of the test results, which appear 15 working days after taking the test for twelfth grade students, and 10 working days for graduates of previous years. The ministry stressed on its website that no test results will be published or shared on any other channel, or sent via e-mail, warning against rumors, and calling on students to follow their personal accounts on the test platform. The ministry called on applicants to perform the standard Emirates test to show a negative nasal swab (PCR) result through the Al-Hosn application, so that it does not exceed 14 days for the vaccinated, and 96 hours for the non-vaccinated. Yesterday, Sunday, students in the twelfth grade took the last session of the Emirates Standardized Test (EmSAT), electronically in the approved centers. The test is based on national standards for measuring and evaluating the performance of twelfth grade students in Arabic, English, mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry and computer science.
The Emirates Standard Test “EMSAT” measures the information and skills of twelfth grade students after they have completed the general education stage and moved to the higher education stage. The ministry pointed out that the higher education institution that the student wishes to enroll in determines the required degree in Emsat to accept the student to study there, and then the student must communicate with the university to be enrolled in to ensure the requirements and grades required as a minimum for admission.
The ministry stated that there is no pass or fail mark for the Emirates standard tests, but that some universities may require a minimum for the purposes of university admission, as the Emirates standard tests are tests that assess the extent to which students possess skills and concepts in specific study subjects. The results of the Emirates Standardized Test are valid for up to 18 months from the date of taking the test. The Ministry stressed the need for all twelfth national students to submit the Emirates Standardized Test in the four main subjects (Arabic, English, mathematics, and physics), with the exception of non-national students in an international private school or those who intend to complete their studies outside the country and do not need a certificate equivalency.
Analysis of the results
The Emirates Foundation for School Education begins to analyze the results of students in public schools, from the last week of June until the first of next July, and the Foundation begins to announce the results gradually in the first week of July, after adopting the timetable for that. As for the academic certificate, the twelfth students will receive a certificate of completion of the study, which will include numerical results for the theoretical “A” subjects, provided that the “B” subjects are descriptive in letters and are not included in the student’s final average.
As for students from the first to the eleventh, their descriptive certificates will be issued in letters only for all subjects of group “A” and “B”, and the certificate will not include a final grade point average for the student, according to what is stated in the student assessment policy and the controls for applying exams for the current academic year.
