The delegate of Sports and Health Promotion of the Seville City Council, Silvia Pozoreceived this Wednesday at the Town Hall members of the European Handball Federation (EHF), who have traveled to the capital of Seville to visit the municipal facilities that will host the European Handball Veterans Championship between June 18 and 22, 2025.
Pozo has transferred the “commitment of the Seville City Council, through the Municipal Sports Institutewith this sporting event” and thanked the EHF for “choosing Seville as the venue.” Likewise, the delegate has shown her satisfaction and has congratulated “the Seville Handball Veterans Sports Club for his work and for having managed to bring this championship.
Doru SimionSport & Game Services Senior Director, and Claudia BrantlSport & Game Service of the EHF, together with representatives of the Sevillian veterans club, have also visited the facilities of the sports centers Mar de Plata, El Paraguas, Amate, Rochelambert and Mendigorríamunicipal pavilions where the matches of this European Championship will take place and which are adapted to the needs of this event.
Since 2003, the European Handball Federation has been organizing the European Veterans Championship with great success, where teams from all over Europe gather in different categories and groups, both men’s and women’s. This event has the support of Seville City Council and the Spanish Handball Federation, and has the participation of between 45 and 65 teams that will bring around a thousand athletes to Seville.
