Elden Ring has sold 25 million copies: Bandai Namco announced it with a post on the game’s official profile, thus confirming the achievement of a new, extraordinary result for the excellent soulslike developed by FromSoftware.
It is obviously no coincidence that we have reached this goal when there are only a few days to go before launch of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansionwhich substantially drove sales of the core experience across all platforms, making an important contribution to those numbers.
DLC or not, the latest creation from Hidetaka Miyazaki and his talented collaborators has obtained a great response right from the startboth from the point of view of critics and the public, so it was only a matter of time before Bandai Namco made 25 million copies sold official.
“We have come a long way together”, we read in the post published on the official Elden Ring profile. “We are forever grateful for your passion and support.”
Time for a new challenge
As we said, the release of Shadow of the Erdtree is rapidly approaching: the expansion will be available starting from June 21st and will lead us into a new scenario, grappling with even more fearsome pitfalls that will further raise the already very respectable level of challenge of experience.
Specifically, we will be able to travel beyond the Intermediate Lands to discover new regions, shrouded in the shadow of the Erdtree, and there face new and ferocious enemies, including the gigantic fiery boss that we saw in action a few days ago.
