When it comes to demakes, in recent years we’ve seen a huge emphasis on bringing modern games to PS1, drawing inspiration from titles from the era like Metal Gear Solid. Now, one fan in particular has decided to go one step further into the past, and this time we can see how it would look and play Elden Ring if it had come out for the SNES in 1995.
Recently, the YouTube channel known as 64 Bits took on the task of creating a video of almost two minutes where managed to recreate some scenes, such as the battle against Malenia or Radahn, but in 16-bit, and the result is extremely impressive.
Taking inspiration from games like Secrets of Mana either Secret of EvermoreElden Ring from the SNES looks simply spectacular, and may well have been a strong contender for 1995’s GOTY. On related topics, Elden Ring lose 90% of their players on Steam. Similarly, the bosses in this title are now easier.
Editor’s Note:
These demakes are simply amazing, and I am sure that many would pay to see these works as a reality. Bloodborne for PS1 it’s a reality, and it plays great, so I don’t doubt that a 16-bit version of Elden Ring will have a problem getting funded by fans.
