The leader of Serrano HeartEdwin Guerrero, came forward and, in a broadcast, told his thousands of followers what had really happened and how he was involved in the middle of a controversy with the group Beren for an alleged copy of musical arrangements in the song 'I will not suffer for anyone'.
“Regarding the song that everyone is accusing us of, 'I will not suffer for anyone', I will tell you a little bit. Those who follow Corazón Serrano know that we have a 'feat'. When we traveled to Ecuador, my friend Bryan, from group Beren, had a song that was very fashionable, 'I only want love'. And we reached an agreement to make a song in Ecuador and another in Peru. We made that song there in Ecuador, they made the arrangement… and Then we agreed to do another song in Peru,” He explained at the beginning.
Later, the performer explained that, as part of the deal, they planned to do the song during Corazón Serrano's anniversary, something that could not be carried out due to logistical problems with the venue where they were going to play.
“We told him to do it on our anniversary. Much later, when he released a ranchera-type 'feat' in Colombia, I think, he told us that we would make this song ('I won't suffer for anyone'). He sent us the demo, he made it with the voice of a man and a woman so that I can sing it with Susana”, argued the creator of Corazón Serrano. “So, we owed them that return, because we already went to Ecuador and we wanted to invite them to Peru and, for many months, we wanted to hold the anniversary at the San Marcos stadium, but then a rule came out that also prohibited Agua from having an event. Marina… So, that's why we moved it to Cultural Lima and that's when we met with Bryan and told him: 'Look, we're going to do this, but in Lima,' he said.
