President Joe Biden has restored the United States to lead the free world. In an important speech, he promised that Russia would pay a heavy price for the attack on Ukraine.
President Joe Biden’s term was expected to be a steady showdown between Donald Trump’s tumultuous term and the next-generation future president. It became everything else. The worst crisis in the United States and its allies since World War II fell into Biden’s arms.
The war in Ukraine marked Biden’s state of the nation on Tuesday speech. According to Biden, Russian President Vladimir Putin will have to pay such a high price for his aggression that he still regrets his decision to attack Ukraine.
Biden has fairly broad American support for his actions in Ukraine, although Trump has tried to create a narrative in which Putin is not afraid of Biden but has respected Trump. However, the explanation is difficult, so Trump openly admired and praised Putin just moments before the attack.
With his attack Putin wants to forcibly drag the world back to a past where Russia was great and mighty. Cold War veteran Biden has proven to be the right person to meet this challenge.
Since the early stages of the crisis, the United States has adopted a line in which it shares its information with exceptional openness to both allies and the public. It has strengthened the unity of the West and effectively shot down Russian lies. After difficult years, the United States has once again taken its place as a leader in the free world.
Biden stressed that the United States is protecting “every square centimeter” of NATO countries. Non-NATO Ukraine is a different matter. “Our troops are not going to Europe to fight in Ukraine, but to defend NATO allies – in case Putin decides to continue moving west.”
Biden stressed that Putin has fallen badly wrong. As the dust and smoke dissipate, the war weakens Russia and strengthens the West. That doesn’t mean the fight would become quick or easy. “However, I want you to know we’re going to be okay,” Biden promised.
