In Campania the earth continues to shake and create fear among the population and also among professionals. On Thursday 11 April 2024, in the early hours of the morning, the seismographs recorded a new seismic swarm.
Several earthquakes were felt today in Italy area of the Campi Flegrei. The strongest, which the population felt very well, is estimated at magnitude 2.1. It was recorded by the seismographs of the Vesuvian Observatory of the INGV, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology at 7.23 am.
The strongest shock was recorded at a depth of 2.7 kilometres, with the epicentre, according to the first measurements carried out, in area of the Solfatara district. Other tremors were also recorded before and after.
Five minutes later, at 7.28am, the seismographs detected a magnitude 1.1 shock at a depth of 2 kilometres. The population only felt the strongest tremor, which was also felt in some peripheral neighborhoods of the area area west of Naples.

Following this morning's seismic swarm, the Civil Protection is already on alert. The operators are monitoring the situation, as they have been doing constantly for several months in the Campi Flegrei area, at high risk of an earthquake.
Mayor Gigi Manzoni of the Municipality of Pozzuoliafter this morning's seismic events, issued a note, explaining what the INGV Vesuvian Observatory had detected at first light on Thursday 11 April 2024.
