Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced Dynasty Warriors: Origins, a new chapter in the legendary Musou saga which will be available in 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC via Steam. Over its nearly three-decade history, the Dynasty Warriors franchise has defined the 1-on-1,000 fighting genre, including several crossovers with other popular series. Tomohiko Sho, producer of Dynasty Warriors: Origins and head of Omega Force, said: “With this game we will return to the roots of the franchise, and offer non-stop action not only to our loyal fans, but to all video game enthusiasts around the world. We are creating the most exciting war we have ever made.”
In Dynasty Warriors: Origins, players will have to move quickly to face enemy armies of unprecedented size and scope. Coordination with allied armies will be key, allowing players to deploy real-time battle tactics as they fight their way through waves of enemy soldiers. These fights will be among the most intense and tension-filled ever seen in the history of Dynasty Warriors, according to producer Sho. For the first time in the series, the story will be told through the eyes of a “nameless hero.” Players will experience a historical tale of war as chaos erupts across the Three Kingdoms, exploring the vast lands of China and encountering its most ruthless generals in a way never seen before.
