As a result of the shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the city of Yasinovataya in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), several buildings were damaged, including a kindergarten and administration.
According to the DPR representative office at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC) on October 29, in addition to the administrative building and the kindergarten, a polyclinic and an apartment building were damaged, in which a fire broke out.
It is specified that during the day the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired at the city three times already. In particular, six rockets were fired from the Grad multiple launch rocket system (MLRS).
A few days ago, on October 27, the Ukrainian military shelled Donetsk from the Grad MLRS, firing 10 rockets into the city. The day before, six rockets had been fired at the center of Donetsk, killing people.
On October 25, it became known that since February 17, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had fired almost 80,000 ammunition in the direction of the DPR. During this time, 487 people, including 23 children, were killed by shelling.
Before that, on October 22, it was reported that Ukrainian troops fired at the DPR more than 40 times in a day. As a result of the shelling, two civilians were killed and two more were wounded.
On February 24, Russia launched a special operation to protect Donbass. The decision was made against the background of the aggravation of the situation in the region as a result of shelling by the Ukrainian military.
