The Dubai Police General Command, represented by the Empowerment of People of Determination and Positive Spirit Councils, participated in the activities of the 49th Arab Deaf Week, which was organized by the Dubai Club for People of Determination, in conjunction with the celebration of deaf communities around the world, to raise awareness of hearing disability and the importance of rehabilitating and integrating this group and learning how to deal with it. . The activities were witnessed by Thani Al Falasi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Club for People of Determination, in the presence of a number of specialists in dealing with people of determination, participants, mounted police, the Dubai Police musical band, and tourist patrols.
Major Abdullah Hamad Al Shamsi, Chairman of the People of Determination Empowerment Council at Dubai Police, said that Dubai Police is keen in various local and international activities and events to involve people of determination, whether children of Dubai Police employees, or people of determination in society in general.
Fatima Buhajir, Chair of the Positive Spirit Council, said that constructive and effective participation in society contributes to achieving the goals of the Positive Spirit Council, which aims to promote the values of tolerance, positivity and solidarity among various groups of society, through various and other comprehensive activities that support the strategic direction of Dubai Police in making society happy.
Mohammed Al-Hajjaji, Secretary of the People of Determination Empowerment Council, presented workshops and lectures to raise awareness of the category of hearing disability, in addition to raising awareness of Dubai Police services for people of determination with all their disabilities.
