The charm of German industrial design: Volkswagen Polo in the sporty R-Line version

Nothing grows as quickly as demands. The Volkswagen Polo, which has been built for almost five decades, is struggling to keep up. This is largely successful, as the large driving report shows.
KShortly before their fiftieth birthday, some people find themselves in a life crisis. In this case, it is important to remember what you have achieved so far. Hopefully a little serenity belongs on the list, as does professional success and a certain amount of material prosperity, although the one is usually linked to the other. The Volkswagen Polo was born in 1975, born as a low-cost version of the Audi 50, a reaction to the fact that, despite the oil and economic crises, more and more people had become sufficiently wealthy to afford a new, albeit small, car.
The door panel was made of cardboard, the right door had no lock so it could only be opened from the inside, and there weren't more than two doors anyway. None of this could reduce the success, nor could the low performance of the 40 hp entry-level version or the 13.5 centimeter narrow tires. Since then, more than 18 million buyers have bought the model, which has been produced in six generations.
