dIn an incredible way, Deportes Quindío was left with the last place for the semi-final home runs of the promotion tournament, with a suffered draw against Leones in Itagüí (2-2).
Internacional de Palmira, which was classified until the 90th minute, was left out of the definition of the title of the first semester, despite beating Real Santander 0-2 in Piedecuesta: it tied in everything with Quindío, but lost the box for having more goals against as a visitor.
“We have suffered a lot, we know the shirt we represent and being left out would have been a disaster,” Alexis Serna, scorer of Quindío’s tying goal, from a penalty, in the 90th minute, told Win Sports.
Llaneros, Cúcuta Deportivo, Real Cartagena and Unión Magdalena already had their place secured and Tigres had it very, very close. The Bogotá team did their homework, beat the Cartagena team 4-2 and scored home runs.
The drama was in the middle of the table. Deportes Quindío started as eighth classified, but over the course of the afternoon Real Cundinamarca and Inter de Palmira themselves came to be classified.
The Cundinamarca team were twice ahead on the scoreboard, but finally lost 3-2 against Cúcuta Deportivo, which also ensured being seeded in group B and the sporting advantage in case of a tie on points in the final.
It should be remembered that Quindío, on the first date, beat Huila 2-1, but lost that match on the desk for having used a suspended player.
Orsomarso also secured their qualification on the last date, defeating Bogotá FC 2-0 in Palmira.
The draw for the B home runs will be this Monday at 6 pm and will be seen on Win Sports.
