Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake was announced by Square Enix with a trailer in May of 2021 and there have been no major updates on the matter since then. The game is a total reconstruction of the original third chapter of the series, with graphics reworked according to the new HD-2D style that was made famous by Octopath Traveler and is being used quite frequently by various Japanese productions.
