Doctors have warned those who have recovered from COVID-19 from playing sports. This is reported by the edition URA.RU…
According to immunologist, candidate of medical sciences Nikolai Kryuchkov, after suffering from coronavirus, some people develop myocarditis – damage to the heart muscle. In this case, it is better to refrain from serious physical activity for two months, since there is a risk of cardiac arrest.
“When recovery from covid has occurred, even after a mild course, it is very important for young people not to exercise for a couple of months. A significant percentage of people develop myocarditis, and older people develop pericarditis. But myocarditis is associated with inflammation of the heart muscle. The problem is that it is at rest, when there is no heavy load, and it passes. And if there is a load, it can give a sharp breakdown, for example, arrhythmia, cardiac arrest, ”the doctor said.
At the same time, he noted that it is useful for those who have recovered from the coronavirus to walk in the fresh air, to engage in short skiing. That is, light loads can be applied.
Infectious disease specialist Tatyana Chalenko concluded that much depends on how a person suffered from COVID-19. If it is asymptomatic or easy, then you can conduct an ECG and after 10-14 days begin physical exercise with cardio training. In this case, it is imperative to monitor your well-being. If it is difficult to tolerate, then it is better to move on to breathing exercises and walking.
