Mexico.- Due to the fact that there have been some cases of winners in alleged government raffles, the Secretary of the Interior warned that “neither this nor other agencies of the federal government notify by telephone, email or other means to winners of these activities”.
This means that no citizen will receive a phone call or message or on social networks notifying them that they have won a game or raffle.
In this sense, he clarified that the Segob does not carry out or organize games and rafflesbut it is the authority that controls, certifies, authorizes and monitors compliance with the law and the rules on the matter, in any part of the country, since it recalled that among its activities is verifying at the request of a person if they were the winner in any of these activities.
He added that it must be conceived that legal gambling is entertainment for adults that must be carried out safely or in those places that meet the requirements established by law, said the technical director of Liaison of the General Directorate of Games and Raffles, Mauricio Ayala.
