Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa passed a resolution. The key points are primarily digital epidemiological surveillance and the digitization of responses
Digital Health is a priority objective the resolution approved at the conference of health ministers of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) presented by an Indian woman, the Union Minister for Family Health and Welfare, Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar. The key points are first and foremost digital epidemiological surveillance and the digitization of responses. India has activated a surveillance program through an integrated health platform that provides real-time data from the facilities on 33 diseases at epidemic risk and allows outbreaks to be predicted.
Telemedicine
For telemedicine: We have launched a mechanism through a national Covid portal that integrates surveillance, testing, logistics management, data-driven analysis, etc. To bring health services to all citizens, we are empowering national telemedicine platform (eSanjeevani) of India and creating Telemedicine Hubs with dedicated doctors in all districts. In the end, third and fourth point, staff training and data management: India has trained more than 16 million doctors, paramedics, nurses online, we need to create evidence-based digital health data repository, best practices to enable data sharing and availability to improve health service. Experiences to follow for the whole European Union.
