Those who have begun to work in the Mexican formal sector, whether in the public or private sector, since July 1, 1997 to date depend on what has been accumulated in your accounts Afore for the pensionis deposited by the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) or the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers (ISSSTE), which will be deposited when they leave.
Under this framework, recently the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (Consar) reminded workers in the formal sector who have contributed to the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (ISSSTE) that Your Afore accounts must be unifiedif you are the owner of more than one of these.

Requirements
Under this understanding, according to the official website of the National Commission of the Retirement Savings System (Consar), the Requirements to request the unification of Afore accounts if you have contributed to the IMSS and ISSSTE are the following:
*Be the owner or Beneficiary of more than one retirement savings account.
*That at least some of the accounts are registered in an Afore.
*Have an updated Worker Identification File that will be generated by the Afore with information about the Worker, their official identification and their proof of address.
To carry out the process of unifying IMSS and ISSSTE Afore accounts, the worker in the formal sector will have to Go in person to one of the Afore branches that manages one of the accounts and you will have to request the procedure.
It should be emphasized, at this point, that before carrying out the process of unifying the IMSS and ISSSTE Afore accounts, the following points must be taken into account:
*When the Afore receive the instruction from the IMSS to carry out the unification of individual accounts, they must attend to and resolve the procedures without the need for workers to go to said institute or to the Afore itself to regularize their account.
*Once the worker has his definitive NSS or CURP, he must provide the correct information to his employer or Agency so that subsequent contributions made in his name are deposited in the NSS or CURP that were certified.
*Independent workers who are registered in an Afore and begin to contribute to the IMSS can promote the unification of their individual accounts.
*If after completing the process of Unification of Individual Accounts the balances are not reflected in the individual account, the worker must go to an INFONAVIT Specialized Service Center to make the corresponding clarification by presenting the certificate of Unification of Accounts issued by the Afore and the certification of regularization of the insured’s personal data issued by the IMSS.
*Once the Account Unification process is completed, the worker can request the corresponding Unification Certificate from his Afore.
*The mandatory use of the biometric signature and electronic means for the Unification of Accounts, as well as the generation of the Worker Identification File, came into force on the first business day of August 2016.
