Culiacán, Sinaloa.- A group of deputies from Sinaloa, Chihuahua and Durango of the “Golden Triangle” belonging to Morena held a meeting for dignity and social welfare this Friday in Santa Gertrudis, Badiraguato.
They insisted on recognizing this region, at the proposal of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, as the “Triangle of Kindness” and promised to produce a manifesto to address social, economic and cultural issues, as well as education and health claims. of women, men, girls and boys in this area.
For Sinaloa, the deputy Feliciano Castro Meléndrez, president of the Political Coordination Board of Congress, César Ismael Guerrero Alarcón and deputy Luz Verónica Avilés Rochín attended; from Durango, legislator Cristian Alán Jean was present, and from Chihuahua, legislators Noel Chávez and David Óscar Castrejón.
Congressman Feliciano Castro Meléndrez claimed in his message that this triangle of Sinaloa, Chihuahua and Durango, where cliffs and pine trees converge, is a region of good people, hard-working and honest people.
“We must call this land the Triangle of Kindness, the triangle of good people dedicated to work, and so it will be.”
He recognized President Andrés Manuel López Obrador when he said that it is enough to call the region the Golden Triangle, as it is a denigrating way of referring to the population.
“I hope we all change its name, by your own right and because the president proposes it that way,” Feliciano Castro said in his message.
He recognized that the inhabitants of this region make a great contribution to the country by being custodians of the native corn. An eight-row corn that can be white, black or purple.
But in addition to being the custodians of the natural genetics of corn, something that must be recognized and paid as a job, they are also the custodians of pines, oaks, oxygen and life, continued the legislator in his message.
“We are going to meet the Congresses of the three states, to promote before the President of the Republic, before the Congress of the Union and before the three governors, that there be a public policy that distributes fiscal wealth, public money, so that it reaches peasant women and men from this region”, he pointed out.
He promoted a meeting on July 16 in Culiacán to produce a manifesto and address issues of a social, economic and cultural nature, as well as demands for education and health.
