The choir is also currently compiling an online choir to sing Eino Leino’s poem Ukraine.
In Helsinki was demonstrated on Tuesday night by singing on behalf of Ukraine Finlandia Next door to the Russian Embassy.
Student Union Singers (YL) started Jean Sibelius singing an anthem at 6 pm on Tehtaankatu.
They welcomed other people to both sing along and listen to the song. The aim is to show support and sympathy for Ukraine and to condemn the war of aggression launched by Russia.
“Our song echoes for a struggling Ukraine – for its brave people and for the common security of the whole of Europe. Slava Ukraine, ”says the President of YL Jarno Oikkonen in the bulletin.
In preparation there is also another singing demonstration on the net and even that choir can join anyone who wants to.
