Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba returned in this spring season of 2024, to remind us that happiness, as Eduardo Sacheri mentions, does not last more than fifteen minutes. The bad thing is that the sadness does seem to last longer, and to prove it to you, I wanted to make a top of the five most emotional moments of the series – that’s right, without manga spoilers – so that we can sink into depression on a Tuesday.
And, as we mentioned before, many of the protagonists or co-protagonists—especially the shonen ones—they should go to therapybut hey, they are very busy saving the world.
I don’t know if Tanjiro should, it seems that he has a very strong, optimistic and quite fighting spirit, so he clings to Nezuko, his sister, the only survivor of his family and tries everything to turn her back into a human and after that he meets many people that help him sustain himself in this world.
Tanjiro trusts that one is here to help others and goes with that good-natured flag around the world. What do you think? After so much tragedy, could you be as optimistic as Tanjiro? My path as a hunter is to follow Tanjiro’s example so let’s see the most emotional moments of one of Shuēisha’s most overwhelming hits: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba!
Let us remember that the original manga work – on which the beautiful anime by Ufotable is based – was published from February 2016 to May 2020. It brought together 23 compilation volumes and if you want your collection, the mangas are licensed in Spanish by Panini. Check them out here, each one costs around 119 MXN.
Without further ado, I list the most emotional moments of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, but Remember that they are spoiler-free for the manga, So if you are a reader of the work, you already know that there will be much, much more in the future. For now, let’s remember what we know about animation, because we have no idea how much future we have left.
The most emotional moments of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba until the third season and without manga spoilers
1. Tanjiro Kamado’s awakening as a hunter: when the protagonist realizes that his family is dead
Tanjiro leaves home to sell coal to support his family and when he returns he finds a terrible massacre. All his brothers and his mother have been destroyed and half-eaten by a demon.
A cold landscape rises among the blood of an infernal snow, Our protagonist, who is barely thirteen years old, has to deal with the only thing he has left: his sister Nezuko, but as we well know, the girl is now a demon, from that moment on he begins his path to be a demon hunter and try to acquire information. on his journey to return his sister to normal.
Tanjiro completely loses his mind and we are there to see one of the most tragic moments in anime in which one of the most important hunters in history in all the demon worlds is born.
That’s how it is, Kamado will forever be one of the greatest references of demon hunters, I’ll tell you. ¡Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba It is one of the narrative and animated gems!
2. Tanjiro meets his teacher after surviving the tests to become a hunter
When Tanjiro decides he wants to be a hunter, the water pillar realizes that he could have a great future, he and his teacher place their hope in Kamado, to be the successor of the water breather.. Not everything goes as planned but they put their hands in the fire for him, ha—badly, Tomioka doesn’t like this. And they train him in his lair.
Tanjiro sets out to become an exemplary hunter and works hard, however, in the field there is a powerful demon that kills everyone who passes through the forest, it far surpasses the boys who train and No one returns to the lair alive.
At that point in his training, Tanjiro meets Sabito—who we know was a friend of Tomioka, and lost his life to the same demon that stalks the forest. The spirit of the powerful swordsman remains in place and tries to save the hunters, in fact, thanks to him and the other hunter, Kamado survives.
And right after this he meets his teacher who explodes with happiness and thanks him for having returned to him alive. Without a doubt, one of the most emotional moments.
3. The minor moon that Tanjiro kills with kindness
Oh, right, Peje shouldn’t end evils with hugs but Tanjiro should, well yes and no, because Not everyone sees young Kamado well, But yes, don’t invent, the demons are very bloodthirsty.
Anyway, the first minor moon that Tanjiro faces in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba It is Rui, the lower moon number five who has started a family. The mother of this fictional family has been trying to keep things in order and of course she does nothing more than be a puppet of the moon. However, Spider Mother’s longing and actions are a little heartbreaking, but even more intense is the kind way in which Tanjiro allows her to cease existing in this world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Don’t lie to me, you felt at least a little sorry for Rui’s mother, and the crystal clear decapitation is a beautiful image.
4. Daki and Gyutaro’s Farewell: Upper Moon Number Six
The story of Daki and Gyutaro is very emotional, they are not brothers, but as if they were. They are quite opposite in their physique, let’s remember that the girl’s death will be what “opens the door” to evil and after that they will become demons.
His battle against Uzui, the pillar of sound, and Tanjiro, is one of the most impressive and also the most beautiful, because Daki shows off his fire and his ribbons in a phenomenal way.
However, towards the end, when the brothers are beheaded, in the last seconds, Daki manages to reach his brother, But what pain goes through the soul! And they are the villains, but notice that at some point they were human and their farewell on another level is quite moving.
We recommend you: Test: Which Kimetsu no Yaiba character are you?
5. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — The Death of Rengoku
Indeed, yes, we all love Rengoku and no one will be able to get over his death, How is the pillar of fire going to go! OF FIRE! IT WAS LITERALLY THE HEAT, THE COLOR, THE LAUGHTER OF THE GROUP OF THE PILLARS!
AND The worst thing is that he left with a clear smileI wish, boy, I wish, the mere truth. Beyond his bitter past and his excessive human effort, and despite the fact that he is very different from Tanjiro – and at the same time they are the same type of person -, Rengoku was a polished boy, a good-natured boy, well, what? It was made of good wood and, mind you, there are zero of those!
Seeing Rengoku’s blood shine at dawn has surely brought more tears to your eyes than your ex and will continue to do so.. Furthermore, the battle was so intense that it stops be an emotional moment but EPIC, EPIC, heaven: EPIC. Did you find The Iliad? Much more than that, much more!
Every time you wake up remember that you must be like Rengoku and when in doubt, ask what Rengoku would say about you, the departure of the pillar of fire must be of some use to us.
So, what do you think? What an emotional moment Demon Slayer: KImestu no Yaiba would you add?
