IRVINE, Calif. – April 26, 2024 – SEGA® is pleased to announce that Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- Sweep the Board! comes out today on Nintendo Switch™!

By ordering the Digital Standard Edition on Nintendo eShop they unlock:

• Basic game
• A set of four seals with Kamado Tanjiro, Kamado Nezuko, Agatsuma Zen'itsu and Hashibira Inosuke. Seals are used by players to communicate during the game in the “Sweep the Board” game mode

Information on the game board of the “Katana Village” story arc
The update, available from the game's launch day and detailed below, adds a new board to the game, based on the Katana Blacksmiths' Village! Blacksmiths like Haganezuka, Kanamori, and Tecchin support players in various ways. There is also Kotetsu, who has the key to the mechanical doll for the “Yoriichi Model Zero” fight. At night the powerful demons Gyokko and Hantengu appear, ready to accept the challenges of the bravest players!

Additionally, two new minigames will be made available:

• Food delivery! – Deliver plates of food to the ravenous Mitsuri! Players must keep an eye on Mitsuri's expressions during meals. One mistake is enough to be stunned. The player who delivers the most dishes wins.
• Find the mask – Find the swordsman mask, the player who finds the most wins!

Details about the v1.01 update
Update* v1.01 will be available on the day of the game's release, adding:

• Online functionality (online play)**
• Local wireless functionality (local wireless gaming)
• A new virtual gameboard based on the Katana Blacksmith Village story arc
• 2 new minigames, 2 new boss fights and new Player Card titles. The “Player Cards”, i.e. the profiles in the game, can be customized with various titles and backgrounds, which can be shared with other players, both locally and online
• The movement functionality in the minigames, complete with a menu for movement command settings
• Other changes and bug fixes

The anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba debuts in a virtual board game! Enjoy events and minigames for up to four players, locally or online.

• Roll the dice and try to become the strongest Demon Slayer! – Famous locations from the anime, such as Mount Fujikasane and Asakusa, become boards in the game. Advance by rolling the dice! Day and night alternate on the board. During the day, you prepare with events and minigames. At night, hunt for demons to defeat.
• Take on the role of legendary characters! – Choose your favorite characters from the Demon Slayer Corps team, including Tanjiro, Zen'itsu, Inosuke and the Pillars! Nezuko appears on the board to help players as a support character!
• Face demons by wielding the Joy-Con™! – Battle demons like Akaza in minigames and swing the Joy-Con to simulate Sun Sword attacks.
