Apple recently updated its guidelines for the admission of emulators on the App Store, specifying that the legal responsibility for the software lies with those who produce and publish it. Naturally, emulators must not be in violation of current regulations, under penalty of immediate removal.
Delta Game Emulator is the successor to GBA4iOS. It was launched on April 17 as the platform's first high-profile emulator, dedicated to Nintendo's platforms: Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo Entertainment System, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS.
A big success
Delta Game Emulator includes support for i controllerthe ability to save and load states of any game, the ability to use cheat codes, and support for multiplayer for NES, SNES, and Nintendo 64 titles.
On April 18, it was the most downloaded app on the App Store in thirteen territories, including the US, UK, Canada, Singapore and Taiwan. It also entered the top 10 in 35 territories, including Japan and South Korea. On April 19, things got even better, and Delta Game Emulator reached the top position in 35 territories, entering the top 10 in 66 territories.
Note that the emulator is also available in the new AltStore Pal, the first alternative store to the Apple one available in the European Union territories.
