Swedish rap artist Einár, officially named Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg has been shot dead on Thursday in Stockholm, says Sweden broadcasting company SVT.
Einár was 19 years old at the time of his death. As an artist, he became known at the age of 16 when he released his debut album, which rose to the top of Swedish playlists. In 2020, he won the Swedish Music Grammis Award as Newcomer of the Year.
Police received several reports of shot sounds late Thursday night in the Hammarby sjöstad area of Stockholm.
Police say they found the wounded man by shooting. The wounded person was given first aid with the police, but he died at the scene. Police have not confirmed the identity of the deceased, but say that he informed the relatives of the deceased.
