Dacia expands its offer of electrified models with the debut of the first hybrid car. It’s about Joggers which less than a year after its arrival on the market increases its range with the Hybrid 140 which will complement the petrol and LPG versions. Taking full advantage of the synergies of the Renault group on a technological level, with the E-Tech system, the new hybrid Jogger will be available in Italy in two trim levels, Expression and Extreme with a price list starting from 25,200 euros, with orders already open and the first deliveries scheduled for April 2023.
Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140 will be available in the colors currently in the range, to which is added schist gray and will always be declined in the 5 and 7 seater versions. Jogger’s hybrid technology will be based on a powertrain comprising a 90 HP 1.6-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors (a 50 HP engine and a high voltage starter/generator) and a electrified automatic transmission, equipped with 4 ratios dedicated to the thermal block and another 2 assigned to the electric one. Therefore, no clutch and mode “B” (“Brake”), which allows you to increase regenerative braking and enhance engine braking, similarly to what happens on the full electrics of the group and on the other electrified models of the Losanga. Thanks to the inertial recovery of energy and energy optimized during braking, the hybrid version of Jogger boasts a range of 800 km in the WLTP mixed cycle.
The electrified system does not compromise habitability and space on board the Dacia family car, with the battery which has been positioned at the underbody level instead of the spare wheel, similarly to what was done with the LPG tank of the ECO-G bifuel variant. According to data provided by the Romanian brand, Jogger Hybrid will be able to guarantee more than 80% of driving time in electric mode with 40% savings in terms of fuel compared to similar petrol models in the urban cycle.
