“Please tell me, why should developers who work extra hours every day to create games offer updates at no cost? Everyone pays $10 for a cup of coffee at Starbucks…is the world going crazy?” Hidetaka said via his personal Twitter account.
The reactions to the publication did not wait and most of them think that the developer is wrong, @MrRiverface a developer and animator with a verified account mentions that it is common to update the game after its launch if it is not finished and even cites the same as an example deadly premonition.
It’s reasonable to update the game after it’s made if it’s not finished. Deadly Premonition needed an update after its pc release to be playable on recent systems. People will just stop buying if the game becomes unplayable due to breaking changes, if you don’t change with them.

Suehiro’s latest creation, The Good Life, is a simulator in which users assume the role of a journalist trying to solve the mystery behind a murder in a small town. It recently offered a DLC for $9.99 USD that includes “the true end”. It also has another DLC scheduled to debut on March 9.

Editor’s note: The way I see it, an update fixes bugs, if you are launching a product that is not complete I think it is a courtesy to give technical support to achieve the best user experience. The DLC is something else, but there are also those who abuse it, selling parts that were originally from the game to offer them as downloadable content, are you reading this? Capcom?
