Cristiano Ronaldo seems determined to have a great competition with Portugal and he showed it this Tuesday by scoring two great goals in the Portuguese team’s last preparation match for the Euro.
Ronaldo scored the second goal of Portugal’s partial victory against Ireland. The forward took a nice shot in the 50th minute.
10 minutes later, and after an assist from Diogo Jota, Ronaldo hit the ball into the net again to celebrate his second goal and the third for his team.
Ronaldo’s secret
“If a player wants to be long-lived, he must have a great capacity for adaptation and the necessary characteristics to do so. That is what I have tried to do. It is no coincidence that he has been playing at the highest level for 20 years,” Cristiano said.
Cristiano, formerly of Real Madrid and currently at Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr, will play his sixth European Championship in Germany, more than any other player in history, something that makes him feel “proud.” “I’m very excited, because it shows the longevity of my career,” he said. “However, it is nothing more than a chapter of what Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved in football.”
In Germany, the Portuguese will be in group F, along with the Czech Republic, Turkey and Georgia.
