Coronavirus infections continue to rise in Austria, with intensive care admissions approaching 300, beyond which further restrictive measures will be triggered. Today’s bulletin reports 4,523 infections (2,850 a week ago) and 292 patients hospitalized in intensive care.
According to the five-step plan of the Vienna government, more than 300 ICU admissions will be allowed only to people who have been cured or vaccinated. From 500 admissions, the rule will apply to all places where you eat and drink. With 600 hospitalizations, the unvaccinated will be subjected to lockdowns and will only be able to leave the house for valid reasons.
