Sara Bejlek, a 16-year-old tennis player from the Czech Republic, made headlines in the preliminary round of the US Open due to the celebration he had with his father and his coach, after winning his match against the British Heather Watson with an aggregate of 3-6, 6-4 and 7-5.

The happiness did not last long
In a video of that moment, Bejlek can be seen leaving the field after greeting his opponent and the referee, and approaches the stands. There she, surrounded by applause, goes first to her father, who is effusive for the match won. The man hugged her and, without letting go, began to pat her buttocks repeatedly. After her, he took her from behind and kissed her on the mouth.
Tennis star Sara Bejlek’s father has sparked outrage for the way he celebrated her huge qualifying win at the US Open.

Given the outrage caused by the way these two people dealt with the athlete, she herself referred to the issue. First of all, he said that “of course” he saw the video that circulated, especially on Twitter, and wanted to explain what happened. “It was a spontaneous reaction from the whole team, we were happy,” she began. “Certainly it may seem inconvenient and uncomfortable for some, but we already discussed it with the team, it will not happen again,” he continued according to ‘The New York Post’.
Likewise, Bejlek specifically referred to both men.
“My dad is my dad and always will be. And I’ve known the coach since I was eight years old. He records me, massages me”, said the player, who also pointed out: “If something similar happened in the Czech Republic, no one would worry. But since we are in the United States, everyone talks about it.”
To close, the athlete, who usually shares with her 7,000 followers on Instagram images with both men during practices and games, insisted: “As I said, we talked about it and it will not happen again.”
Some Internet users have requested on social networks an official statement from the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA); however, the agency has not made any statements so far.
